EME offers opportunities for short term placements in a variety of locations. Those things applying to long term workers generally apply to short, though the application process, training requirements and financial commitments are adjusted to the particular situation. Standard practice includes a 3 month and 6 month review, at which time either the worker or his/her field oversight can request an end to the placement.

In similar manner, EME works with local churches and organizations within the region to provide opportunities for short term teams from sending churches and organizations. In everything from evangelism, sports, education, medicine, construction, children’s camps, music and arts, teaching and training, we work with the sending body to complete the best and most effective experience for the time and contribution given.

One of our favorite and most effective programs comes through agreements made with sending churches and organizations to commit to return to a location each year for 3 to 5 years, thereby establishing relationship, trust and effective ministry in the field.

EME is engaged with both sending and receiving colleges and universities to develop programs that provide opportunities to study while being engaged in particular local ministries. Volunteers can continue with their educational pursuits while fulfilling their commitment to a short term mission, experiencing team life, living cross culturally and making an eternal contribution.

Prayer Trekking and Vision Touring are inspiring and purposeful programs organized to get you and your group, church, school or organization better informed, more attuned and more connected to events and ministries in our region of the world. Whether through custom designed Footsteps of Paul, 7 Churches of Revelation or Holy-land Tours; or, simply vacations (at any chosen level) that purposefully include prayer and fellowship time with local believers, we are happy to help each participant have a “vacation with a purpose!”
